1P100W #85 – Obama

I noticed on Facebook since waking up this morning, loads of people sharing photos of Obama taken by the official White House photographer. I guess that is understandable, since it was 4th of July (Happy Independence Day yo!). You can see the full Facebook posting, link here.

Man, you gotta admit, Obama is one cool and like-able president, don’t you? Unless of course if you’re American and a Republican then he is the opposite of cool.

Still, I find the comments much more entertaining compared to the actual pictures. Example in snippet above. 😀

Also Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to my Malay friends, and Happy Holidays to all Malaysians.

  1. I don’t believe he’d actually pick the fruit and eat it on the spot without paying for it first – or maybe it’s just the angle. 😉

It’s still surprising that I didn’t come across this on my Facebook timeline – and no, don’t tag me in the comments section, lol.

    • I would totally believe he picked it up on the spot and ate it. Of course I also believe his honchos would take care of paying for it when they left. And I would also believe if the supermarket refused payment. I would. I mean, come on, Obama ate a peach from my supermarket. That’s probably millions worth of publicity! 😛

      • The supermarket’s name wasn’t mentioned, though. =(

The comment about lemons being cheaper in US is actually true. Malaysian limes are much cheaper – 1 plate at only RM 1 from the makcik.

        • Lime is of course cheaper than lemons hahaha! I just bought a bag of lemons just now. It was RM 10 for 6 lemons. I wonder if that’s cheap or expensive. 🙄

  2. You mentioned Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Is
this the Muslim’s New Year or the equivalent of Eid, the festival of celebration post Ramadan?

    • Yeah, I think it is called Eid Mubarak or Eid al-Fitr in everywhere else in the world. Well, Aidilfitri is kind of Eid al-Fitr in Malaysian spelling.

  3. Lol. When you are in a position of power, you can get away with quite a few things… Happy holidays. Don’t work too hard and enjoy your down time 😉

    • I read a few of the subsequent comments saying at least he did not attempt to eat a raw onion like Tony Abbott! 😀

  4. eh, today u posted earlier than norm….the comments are kinda hilarious! some people really do compare the lemon prices across the globe!
