Midweek Updates (Blergh…)

It appears that I’m a hopeless sod who is just not capable of leaving my blog alone. Today, I find myself with some minutes to spare again, and guess what I did, again? Yes, I fiddled with my blog, again!

Okay, at least I am not writing stuff that requires me to use my brain in any significant capacity. I basically just uploaded all the photos that I have got so far into a few drafts. Here’s what I got so far:

You guys seem to have misunderstood me in my blog post on Sunday. I did not want to make a direct mention, but I was in no ways trying to conceal which city I am currently in for the week. Why do you think I linked The Yum List’s blog post if I wanted to hide my location? While I’m not a super seasoned blogger, I’m also not an idiot.

Another thing that got me sad was that, I wrote this statement [After that fancy buffet dinner at that fancy hotel,Β I went to check into the actual hotel that I will be staying in…] and yet, everyone concluded that I am staying at the same fancy hotel where I had my dinner.Β What part of my statement points to what you guys concluded?

Either my English vocabulary is horrendously inaccurate, or you guys mostly did not bother to read what I write and jumped to conclusions based on the pictures alone. I hope it’s the former, because if it’s the latter then that’s really sad for me, you know? Although I understand that people love pictures more than words, I am a blogger who place more efforts on writing. I hope people will at least read what I write. If everyone only focuses on the pictures and ignores what I write, that will really make me very sad indeed. I might as well call this a photobook rather than a blog πŸ™ .

So, anyway, based on the snippet above, you guys would most definitely know which city I am in. And you can look forward to lots of food pictures, obviously. That (eating) is the only part of the day where I can somewhat sit back and enjoy and take photos.

But I’m not ready to write and publish those just yet. They’ll probably have to wait until after my CNY break, when I really get back to Penang. In the meantime, here’s a picture of something I bought earlier today.

500g of freshly grilled 肉干 bak kwaΒ to bring home for the family sempena CNY. This was from a roasted meat restaurant at KSL City. Don’t ask me if I will have photos to blog about this place, I just stopped by to buy the goodies, and my brain was too preoccupied to remember to snap photos of the shop front…

I think, seeing that I am so easily annoyed just with people misinterpreting my statement, maybe I should really just acknowledge my stress level, stop blogging for this week and quickly go to bed. Gotta practice more refrains with CNY week coming up. Good night…

  2. CL, I didn’t read that particular post [I will check it out after this one], but I understood the sentence in bold. I sometimes eat at the buffet restaurant located in a fancy hotel in Taichung on special occasions and then, I go home.

    Oh, and I read your posts – sometimes I even count the number of swear words you include, too!! πŸ™‚

  3. Oh well, I know you always play with words and got my brains twisted many times. I don’t do the Touch&Go blogging and comments. I think I am too hard working in reading blogs. That’s because I don’t play games on my phone at all. I read blogs instead while waiting, waiting, waiting and waiting for something. Let’s bet and see whether you can stay away from your blog. Why should I?? I would still read any updates daily which is better than reading The Star newspapers!

    I am crazy over Bak Kwa too and have been sighing at the chicken & now fish bak kwa!!!! Hear me? Fish!!!

  4. Well, I’m also not an idiot. I think those who didn’t know where you were obviously didn’t click on the link…and didn’t read your blog thoroughly to know that you were staying in another hotel. I think some bloggers probably visit (and leave comments on) too many blogs (in the hope of return comments I suppose) that they have to skim through the gist of the post (that’s why I read so few blogs coz of the time factor).

    Now that you’ve posted a “teaser” of your upcoming posts, it should be crystal clear where you are. Hmmm, so you’re staying at Hotel @ JB….kekeke! πŸ˜€

    • It is quite easy to figure out if someone has been reading or not based on their comments. Actually I shouldn’t get too mad I suppose, at least most of the comments I get are better than “Hi, just dropping by for return visit” or that sort of shit… πŸ™„

    Haven’t had bak kwa in so long. I like the chicken one. But too much of bak kwa is very heaty 😐

    • WTF?! There is no such thing as chicken bak kwa! That’s a fake! If it’s not pork, it’s not bak kwa! πŸ™„

      • WTH?! Each time my mum goes to buy it from the popular Bee Cheng Hiang, the seller will always ask us if we want chicken or pork. I always assumed the chicken was real…don’t tell me after all this while, after all my life, I got conned πŸ™„

        • Oh no.. no no no, you are taking me in a serious context. When I say “non-pork bak kwa is not real bak kwa”, is kind of like those hardcore football fans saying “people who don’t like football are not real men!”… πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

    • If you want to meet with my co-worker also, then kopi might be a good idea. Actually no, you can only join me for dinner if anything. I don’t have time for kopi, other than eating the only time I have left is for working in the room…

  7. looks like what you have in the list are all foodie posts!! hahaha, i actually think foodie posts are actually very useful “filler” posts huh?? and you bought 500g of bakwa, i wonder how much are bakwa now ah?? since it started to get expensive couple of years ago, i rarely buy them already..

    • Filler posts? No man, those are my main posts. The only blog worthy thing that I can do in business trips like this is food, food and more food. That’s why there’s only food in my draft now.

      I bought these for RM 54. I don’t know if they are expensive or cheap, as I have not bought any for a long time. But they are freshly grilled and packed so I think it is okay..

      • What interpretation are you referring to? The word “nearby” is it? Meaning you are not staying in a nearby hotel but you want people to think that you are, to throw them off the scent.
