Awesome Comic Book from Japan vol. 2

Remember when I wrote about my awesome comic book from Japan? Well, guess what? Awesome Comic Book Vol 2 is out! Yes, Grace‘s second book, My Japanese Husband STILL Thinks I’m Crazy is now officially available for purchase on Amazon!

When Grace announced that she needs book ambassadors to review her new book on Amazon, I signed up immediately. After all, it means I get a free pdf copy of the book before the official release. Yes, for free. Free review for free book, seems like a good deal to me, so why not?

Since I wrote the review on Amazon already, I might as well just snip and paste that review here for you guys to read as well. After allΒ I’m busy baking a cake and packing up for the big drive back home tomorrow so I am lazy to write a lot today I think that review is pretty much what I wanted to say about this second book.

By the way today I also learned that Amazon has a fantastic anti-cheating feature.

Okay, okay, let me show more sincerity in this post. Let me steal one of her comics from this Book 2 and share with you guys here.

I’m just kidding. I did not steal it. This comic is in her press kit page. We are allowed to show this comic when promoting her book. If you want to see more samples, you can go to her press kit page directly.

Are you interested with this second book My Japanese Husband STILL Thinks I’m Crazy? If you are, then I’m going to tell you how to purchase it. Actually I’m going to tell you anyway.

At the moment, paperback copiesΒ only available for purchase through Amazon US. Link here.

Alternatively, you can purchase Kindle copies through various local Amazon sites. Links here.

Or you can wait for a bit. Grace will set up a shop in her blog to sell directly to you beginning of March. Signed copies no less. I would wait for this option to open, because Amazon charges ridiculous shipping prices. In fact I don’t think they ship to Malaysia.

One thing you should not do though, is to wait for me to give this book to you for free. I’ve stopped taking freelance jobs since the past couple of months to focus on my own book’s writing. I don’t really have extra cash to conduct freebie giveaways for the time being.

So yeah..

  1. Thanks! And thanks for the awesome review πŸ™‚
I will totally send you a signed copy to Malaysia once I get my shop set up (I still haven’t even seen the 2nd book in print! My proof copy is 2 weeks late :/ )

    • You will?? That would awesome! I suppose that’s one of the downsides of publishing independently, sh*t happens and you have to deal with it by yourself. Hang in there, you have our moral support πŸ˜‰

  2. I know how twisted their tongues could be as I lived with Japanese room mates twice while schooling in US. Their “A” is always Arrrrrr for everything too. LOL
The Koreans were more musical and hilarious too!

    • I always wonder why their pronunciation are kind of off like that. Must be their education since they study everything in Japanese and that’s how the language is spoken. I don’t see American born Japanese have trouble with English pronunciation.

  3. Oh yeah, I remember this comic book. I also checked out Grace’s blog and it makes for an interesting read. There were many things that I learnt about the Japanese and some are so quirky and funny. She’s very talented and brave too.

So, how did the cake go? Do we get to see it πŸ™‚

    • That’s one of the reason why I love her blog and comics. Her bravery alone is great enough content for her comics! πŸ˜€

LOL! Yeah I will blog about the cake soon πŸ˜€

    • Er.. Kindle is an eBook reading device. It looks like an iPad or something like that. Kindle copies means eBooks that only Kindle can read, they are not pdf I think..

  4. I read both of her comics and loved them as well. I especially loved the organization of the second one. I am in the process of writing a review and post as well. Too many things to do these days!! Hope you are all ready to greet the year of the goat!! Gongxi Fa Cai!!

    • Yeah, sort of.. and I safely arrived πŸ™‚ .. I on leave, but answered a few work related phone calls on the drive. I think I going to turn off my phone for the week 😐

  5. Nice review! I will wait for her own online shop too to get signed copies. Wow, you are in the mood for CNY – baking a cake! Can’t wait to read that post.

Have a safe journey back to KL!

    • Hahaha, seems like it is expected that I will blog about that cake. Okay, I’ll see what I can do πŸ˜€

And since you are reading this, it means I have arrived safely. Thanks! πŸ˜‰
