Boxing Day with Korean Twist

Boxing Day is the day following Christmas Day, it is traditionally a day where people give gifts to those in need.

So today I was watching K-Pop on TV and was in need of snacks,

And the sister providedย the gift of snacks which she brought back from Korea. She just recently returned from a working trip to Korea. Seriously, what better gifts can you give to someone in need when he is watching K-Pop?

The sister highly recommended the Gateau series (pronounced Ghee-a-tow), original French cake series that originated in Korea LOL!

As with all gifts, we need to unwrap them..

The thing with these Gateau cakes is, you will feel uninspired by the packaging, and you will stillย feel uninspired after unwrapping this gift to see a normal looking piece of cake. But upon the first bite, your mind will be blown away! It is bloody good!

Pepero (Hami Melon)

The Pepero is interesting. A flip to the back shows a stamp area and some writing space. The sister confirmed that you can actually paste a postage stamp on it and send the box of Pepero to your beloved one (or anyone else actually) by mail in Korea!

Baked Potato Chips

Don’t know what brand is the potato chips, can’t read Korean words. They tasted just like normal potato chips, which means they are delicious! Perfect!

With these Boxing Day gifts in place, watching TV became infinitely more enjoyable ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

I hardly watch exercise videos, unless if it is something like The Amazing Race, or football ๐Ÿ˜‰

So what did your sister say about your pumpkin pie? I was working today in the office – that’s how I spent boxing day.

    • Yikes, that sucks.. although if you look positively, you are not forced to take leave due to year end shutdown like me..
LOL, apparently my pie was alright, just that the pastry part needs some improvement ๐Ÿ˜›
